United Musculoskeletal Partners Medical Assistant in Addison, Texas
DESCRIPTION
Must be willing to work at Cedar Hill location once a week
Fast paced environment, multi-task a must.
Preps charts by gathering all clinical documentation to place in patients charts for the doctor to perform the visit.
Performs general nursing care to patients by following established standards and procedures.
Greets patients and takes them back to room.
Interviews patients, measures vital signs and records information on patient's charts.
Prepares examination rooms and maintains daily cleaning list.
Sends out any referral requested by the doctor.
Formulates and documents patient care plans, charts, tests and examination results in the medical record.
Escalates non-routine issues to the Office Manager or Physician.
Performs other duties as assigned by Office Manager or Physician.
Must check their clinical folder assigned to their doctor, expected to check throughout the day and cleared out by the end of day.
REQUIREMENTS
Bi-lingual a plus.
Must be able and willing to work at the Cedar Hill location once a week.
Ability to effectively communicate to staff and patients.
Demonstrate sound judgment and composure with the ability to take appropriate action in questionable or emergency situations.
Maintains a positive, caring attitude towards patients and co-workers.
Good computer skills using a medical management application & prior experience with EMR’s is highly preferred.
Possess a strong work ethic and a high level of professionalism.
Demonstrates initiative, insight, and judgement in decision-making process.
Knowledge of medical terminology, medical documentation & procedures.
