About the Opportunity

This is an open position with FirstEnergy Service Company, a subsidiary of FirstEnergy Corp. [SC00]

Within FirstEnergy’s Supply Chain organization, this position coordinates the operations and quality of information collection in several software applications. This role also supports several cloud-based software solutions. The position requires a strong attention to detail, good communication skills, and a great work ethic. The successful candidate will ensure that published procedures are followed and documented. The primary responsibilities include the vetting and on-boarding of FirstEnergy suppliers making them available for procurement activity.

This is designated as a remote location role but some travel to FirstEnergy locations may be necessary at times.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Monitors a queue for new requests.

  • Communicates succinctly with requestors and stakeholders within the Supply Chain organization.

  • Supports several cloud-based applications that are used by thousands of Supply Chain users and suppliers.

  • Ensures high level of data collection and accuracy.

  • Participates as a member of a high performing team, supporting several technological systems.

  • Participates in team meetings and contributes to continual improvement.

  • Ensures that SoX (Sarbanes-Oxley) controls are strictly adhered to.

Qualifications include:

  • Associates degree in a Business-related field with 2 years of related experience required. In lieu of a degree, 4 years of related experience will be considered. Related work experience includes data management, data science, data analytics, dashboard development or extensive software administration experience.

  • Experience supporting / administering a software system is desirable. Coupa experience is a plus.

  • Ability to understand data relationships and the importance of accurate data capture.

  • Strong interpersonal, communications, training & mentoring skills.

  • Ability to work effectively in a virtual environment.

  • Driven and ability to work independently.

  • Previous experience supporting a regulatory environment including compliance controls (ie: Sarbanes-Oxley) is preferred.
