Health Research, Inc. Internship - Hourly Intern I in Albany, New York
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Qualified candidates must be either an MPH or an MS Epidemiology student at SUNY Albany’s School of Public Health; AND must have completed at least 24 credits of coursework toward their degree including at least four of the core courses; AND must have maintained a GPA of 3.0 or better AND are unable to participate in an internship if on academic probation
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Experience working with large data sets, experience with data analysis, creating tables and figures, performing literature searches and writing reports/manuscripts.
RESPONSIBILITIES
The intern will work in the Immunoassay Laboratory of the Newborn Screening Program. The primary responsibilities will be to pull required data from the laboratory information management system (Neometrics), perform literature searches, data analysis and create tables and figures and assist with manuscript preparation. Our goal is to publish results of newborn screening for HIV in NYS.
DETAILS OF EMPLOYMENT
40 hours a week for 12 weeks from May to August 2025. Traveling is not required. The position is in-person.

Valid and unrestricted authorization to work in the U.S. is required. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.
This position requires that the incumbent will report to the official work location and live within commuting distance to the official work location. Telecommuting may not be available. If telecommuting is available, the incumbent will be required to have a telephone/mobile device, and internet access.
