Nurses work under the supervision of a Registered Nurse. Essential Functions and Responsibilities: Room patients and maintain orderly exam rooms. Review and prepare prescriptions for provider signature. Order labs and diagnostic testing. Monitors and process results with providers. Completes prior authorization paperwork for medication and other services. Ensures accuracy of electronic medical record related to patient care. Answer incoming patient calls and nursing pool messages. Triage calls and review with appropriate Physician/APNP Education, Experience and Certification(s): High school diploma or equivalent Current license as an LPN in the state of WI Skills and Abilities: Superior verbal and written communication skills. Strong interpersonal skills so as to maintain strong, positive relationship with clients and team members. Ability to remain calm and reassuring in tense situations and to de-escalate crisis/urgent situations. Self-starter with strong multi-tasking abilities. Ability and dedication to working as team. Willing to provide support to fellow team members when needed. Proficient with Microsoft Office programs. Demonstrated ability to execute tasks in EPIC and related software. Thorough understanding of applicable ethical codes and standards. Thorough understanding of compliance measures related to HIPAA and patient health information.
