Cherokee Town & Country Club in Atlanta, GA is ready to hire a full-time Terrace Level Assistant Manager to direct the activities of the Terrace Level a la carte food service operations. This position requires an individual who is professional and highly visible to the Club's membership who will work closely with the culinary team to promote teamwork and the highest level of standards across the department. The Assistant Manager will always ensure the staff is happy, so service is always running smoothly.
This assistant management position comes with a competitive salary of $55,000 - $60,000/year based on experience. A DAY IN THE LIFE OF OUR TERRACE LEVEL ASSITANT MANAGER
As our Terrace Level Assistant Manager you will greet and seat member/guests during mealtimes, ensuring they feel welcome. You will monitor service at individual tables to ensure satisfaction and bid farewell to members/guests upon departure and father feedback on their experience. As the Assistant Manager you will assist efforts with Human Resources in the following: recruiting, hiring, orienting, evaluating, rewarding, disciplining, terminating staff. You will always motivate and encourage team members, set team goals and oversee annual performance reviews. As the Assistant Manager you will always promote a positive work environment by ensuring a strong team dynamic and high morale.
In this position, you will be responsible for upholding the mission, policies and procedures of Cherokee Town and Country Club including the Club By-Laws, policies, and employee handbook. You will be responsible for the appearance and cleanliness of service staff and dining areas. You will work with the Terrace Level Chef to ensure the proper set up of all buffets and special events. You will plan and implement training programs to maintain and up-date the service program as well as approve and submit payrolls for all personnel working on the Terrace Level. You will prepare work schedules; approve scheduled time off by utilizing vacation and compensatory time while maintaining an adequate number of staff members on duty.
As the Assistant Manager in the Terrace level, you will also work on special projects as assigned by the Terrace Level General Manager and review monthly P/L's to determine the degree of efficiency of the total operation as revealed by comparison with the annual budget and known changes and adjustments made during the course of the fiscal year. In this position, you will be responsible for maintaining the club's NorthStar POS system. To include changing menu items, running reports, adding member presences and dining room reservations. You will be responsible for maintaining proper safety standards, adherence to safety policies, updating MSDS files, and applicable Health Department rules. You will also assist other food and beverage operations.
QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum of 2 yr. experience as a Restaurant manager.
Prior experience in a highly reputable private club or find dining establishment is preferred.
Knowledge and experience with food and beverage operations.
ServSafe certification is preferred.

Excellent attention to detail, professionalism and a dedication to creating meaningful and memorable experiences for Club members and guests.
Strong oral and written communication.
Results-oreinted, self-motivated, and experience in leading a team.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, etc.)
