JOB REQUIREMENTS: -Handle transactions at the Admissions Desk, including admissions, store sales, and guest interactions; -Greet visitors; -Communicate general information and safety information about Cana Island Light Station; -Notify visitors of tower delays; -Collect fees and make change accurately and efficiently; -Maintain radio contact with other personnel; -Maintain accurate records of visitor count and monies received; -Responsible for keeping area neat and clean; -Provide excellent customer service; promote the museum\'s mission and vision in all activities; -Regularly communicates with management about visitor experiences including their ideas and concerns; -Assist other crew with receiving and preparing merchandise for sale; -Perform other duties as assigned; Sales and Accountability -Maintains a high level of knowledge and proficiency in the Museum\'s point of sale computer system; -Be accountable for cash handling, including opening and closing drawers, counting cash, making deposits, making sure enough change is in the drawer; -Consistently punctual, dependable and prepared for scheduled shifts; -Facilitate climbs of Lighthouse Tower; -Ensures accuracy of data entry and supports marketing team in gathering data to support marketing efforts; -Ability to work in a fast paced environment while maintaining a friendly and professional attitude; ***** OTHER EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS: -Excellent public relations and customer service skills; -Strong computer skills and a ability to learn computer/cloud based Point of Sale; -Demonstrates resourcefulness, good judgment, and excellent interpersonal and communications skills.
