Hybrid – Dorking or Basingstoke 2 days a week

We are hiring a Senior IT Infrastructure Manager to lead and guide teams managing technical services and capabilities. The role oversees the planning, implementation, and maintenance of the UK IT infrastructure, ensuring it is reliable, scalable, and aligned with both tactical and strategic goals. Responsibilities include strategic planning, daily operations, delivering new services, and capacity planning to meet Unum UK’s current and future needs.

The successful candidate will be responsible for defining a change roadmap to guide the delivery of business objectives, ensuring alignment between IT and business teams. You will also oversee and ensure compliance with industry regulations and legal requirements across all infrastructure services. Additionally, you will provide key input into audit and risk compliance management reviews, working closely with both internal and external auditors to identify and mitigate potential risks. Maintaining smooth operational performance while balancing the need for strategic change and continuous improvement will be a key focus, requiring strong leadership and ownership of initiatives.

Collaboration with senior IT and business leaders will be essential to achieve shared goals, with your ability to influence decision-making driving successful outcomes. You will lead and mentor a high-performing IT team, fostering a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement, while aligning priorities with business stakeholders and available resources. Strong communication and leadership skills will be key to building partnerships, ensuring effective execution, and supporting the achievement of agreed objectives.
