Air Combat Command Recreation Assistant (Rod and Gun Club) in Beale AFB, California
Summary About the position: This position is Non-appropriated Fund (NAF) and will be assigned to the Rod and Gun Club, Beale AFB, CA. This position is a Flexible position; not guaranteed hours, but may work 0-40 hours a week and does not receive benefits. Must be able to lift 50 pounds on a regular basis. Must be able to satisfactorily complete a pre-employment physical and pre-employment drug test. Responsibilities Performs the day to day operations of the Rod and Gun Club. Sells and resells various rod, gun, and archery sporting merchandise in accordance with Federal and State laws. Maintains cash operations of facility and processes new membership applications. Assists with supplies and inventory. Explains safety rules and regulations to patrons on use, handling, and storage of weapons, ammunitions, explosives, and hazardous materials. Operates forklift and pallet jack. Utilizes various types of target throwing equipment in support of skeet, trap, sporting clay, and archery events. Assists in preparations for tournaments and shoots, hunting safety courses, etc. Responsible for maintaining the resale shop in a safe and clean condition and assists in maintaining club facilities. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Qualifying Experience: Must have cash handling experience. Most possess skill in dealing with the public. Must be able to obtain a Federal Firearms License and operate forklift, pallet jack, and target throwing equipment. Education Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. This position does not allow for education substitution. FOREIGN EDUCATION: Education completed in foreign colleges or universities may be used to meet the requirements. You must show proof the education credentials have been deemed to be at least equivalent to that gained in conventional U.S. education program. It is your responsibility to provide such evidence when applying. Additional Information Individual must fully meet qualification/eligibility/background requirements for this position.
