Utility Worker
Job Description
30-34 hours/week
Hourly pay $14/hour
Monday through Friday 8:30am-4:30 pm. Flexablity with hours.
½ hour unpaid lunch
$40 monthly Aflac allowance (after 3 months)
5 personal days, paid holidays include New Year's Day, Good Friday, Memorial Day, July 4th (if falls on a weekday), Labor Day, Thanksgiving, Christmas
Qualifications: Good interpersonal skills, independent and reliable worker, ability to read and speak conversational English. Requires frequent walking, bending, standing, and lifting. Ability to leave a minimum of 50 pounds.Will be required to drive the food van 2 times weekly for food pick-up. Valid PA drivers license. 3 years clean driving record.
· Bring in and unload donation bins in the morning
· Set out trash in the evenings, bring in empty trash bins
· Organize and maintain janitorial closet
· Collect food donations as needed
· Assist with unloading food truck deliveries
· Responsible for keeping common areas clean and sanitary, including the restroom, kitchen, food bank, and thrift store.
· Responsible for once weekly mopping and/or buffing of entire tiled floor area.
· Responsible for ordering janitorial supplies through established vendors.
· Responsible for keeping janitorial closet organized.
· Perform special cleaning projects as assigned.
· Monitor buildings, recommend and complete minor repairs including changing light bulbs, painting, etc. as needed
