Responsibilities:
- Performs all assignments in accordance with safety specifications, instructions, and requirements
- Demonstrates ability to meet production standards on specific assignments within required time
- Maintains good housekeeping and clean work areas in assigned space
- Reports all production waste to Production Lead or Supervisor
- Responsible for safety and quality throughout production
- Responsible for notifying a Production Lead or Supervisor when they step off the line to ensure safety and quality standards are maintained
- Performs other duties as required by Supervisor or Manager
- Follows all company policies and procedures
Requirements:
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Experience working in a Manufacturing Environment
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Understand plant safety guidelines and pass all required safety training
- Must be able to understand verbal and written instructions in English language
- Troubleshoot problems and report issues
- Must work well in team environment
- Ability to be on feet up to 8-12 hours per shift
Physical Requirements:
- Plant facility runs 24 hours a day, 5 days a week consistently,
excluding designated holidays or prearranged shut down.
- Plant does consistently schedule overtime on a daily and/or weekly basis.
- Overtime when scheduled is mandatory and can be extending working shift from an 8-hour workday to up to a 12-hour workday on an individual day during a schedule week.
- Overtime can also be scheduled by adding on an additional
workday on an unscheduled workday for a scheduled shift from 8
hours up to 12 hours.
- Example: a regular Friday scheduled shift can be changed from 2:50pm to 11pm, 8-hour workday, to an 11am to 11pm or 3pm to 3am schedule for a 12-hour scheduled shift.
- Example: A regular Saturday/Sunday scheduled day off, can be scheduled on either day for an 8-hour up to 12-hour shift, due to production demands and staffing coverage.
- Employee\'s base schedule is: Monday to Friday 2:50pm to 11pm weekly
repeating.
- Monday to Friday.
- 2:50pm to 3pm is a paid shift startup group meeting before going out to the floor for assigned tasks.
- Ability to walk, stand, crouch and climb to perform duties.
- Use of hands and fingers to perform job function.
- Ability to lift up to 50lbs
- Ability to be on feet consistently 8 hours up to a 12 hours per scheduled shift.
- While performing the duties of this job, the individual is occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts, fumes or airborne particles and outside weather conditions.
- Line production is constant flow approximately 36 IBC totes an hour.
- Usage of cutting knife for flashing to complete tote manufacturing process.
- Walking during this standing time in work cell, continuous rotation between blow mold machine, and tester machine.
- Repetitive turning & twisting during the leak testing steps of production.
- Reaching above shoulders, hand and wrist repetitive simple grasping to pick up bottle to stack.
- The noise level in the work environment is loud and always requires hearing protection when working out on the production floor.
- The work environment can be very hot, over 90 degrees.
- Vision: 20/20 corrected and normal hearing range.
- Ability to wear company required personal protective equipment; safety glasses, earplugs, steel toe/composite safety shoes, cut resistant gloves, and any other necessary item based on assigned task.
