The Doe Run Company is seeking a Yard Truck Driver to safely operate a jockey truck in order to move trailers and a haul truck in order to move material. Support bag house and scrubber operations. This position is at the Buick Resource Recycling Facility in Boss, MO.

Education and Experience:

  • High school diploma or equivalent, preferred.
  • Minimum of one year of experience with mobile equipment.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Basic computer skills, including knowledge of Microsoft Office programs, and PLC.
  • Ability to learn plant layout.
  • Knowledge of environmental rules and regulations regarding material handling and storage.

Responsibilities:

  • Operate jockey and haul trucks.
  • Operate air brake system.
  • Safely line trailers.
  • Conduct inspections to monitor proper loading procedures.
  • Safely load trailers and evenly distribute materials so that trucks travel properly.
  • Serve as backup for bag house and scrubber operators.
  • Conduct housekeeping and cleaning tasks.
  • Perform pre-shift safety inspections on mobile equipment and perform maintenance tasks such as tightening, lubricating, and cleaning.
  • Complete tasks in a safe and environmentally compliant manner by following EHS (environmental, health, and safety) policies, procedures, and best practices; support and assist peers in working in a safe, compliant manner; report unsafe acts or conditions, incidents, and deviations; and provide feedback to support continuous improvement in EHS performance.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Work Environment, Physical and Lifting Requirements:

  • Regularly required to wear personal protective equipment, including, but not limited to, respirator, hearing protection and eyewear. Regularly required to work near moving, mechanical parts and moderate noise levels. Frequently exposed to outdoor weather conditions. Occasionally work in confined spaces, at heights of four feet or more with fall protection, and exposed to wet, humid conditions, vibrations, and extreme heat.
  • Frequently requires grasping, standing, walking, driving, and climbing or balancing. Occasionally requires sitting, talking, hearing, reaching with hands/arms, stooping, kneeling, crouching, shoveling, crawling, and repetitive movement. Requires clarity of vision at 20 feet or more 20 inches or less, three-dimensional vision, the ability to judge distance and spatial relationships, and precise hand-eye coordination.
  • Regularly required to lift up to 50 pounds. Occasionally required to lift up to 75 pounds.
