SciTec Security Manager/Facility Security Officer in Boulder, Colorado

SciTec has an immediate opportunity for an experienced Security Manager/Facility Security Officer (FSO) to manage the physical security and security infrastructure of our Boulder offices. The SM/FSO will be responsible for supervising our Boulder Security staff and directing security measures necessary for developing and implementing security procedures in accordance with National Industrial Security Program Operating Manual (NISPOM).
Responsibilities
• Supervise Security staff to develop their optimal performance and growth
• Maintain all documentation required to obtain and maintain a Facility Clearance
•Oversee the security for classified security programs operating within the SciTec Boulder facility
• Administer day-to-day security programs, personnel processing, program security reviews, document control system, audits & self-inspections, violation investigations & reports, receipt/dispatch/destruction/mail logs, visit certs, etc.
• Maintain personnel clearances, investigations, reports, and foreign travel in DISS
• Primary POC for security matters with DCSA
• Review DD254s to ensure adherence to classified programs, including developing DD-254s for subcontractors
• Develop and administer a comprehensive security education, training, and awareness program, to include Initial & Annual Security Refresher Training
• Respond to emergency alarm calls off hours
• Investigate and report security violations and incidents
• Perform required self-inspections of security program, resolving possible security
violations and initiating measures to correct security deficiencies
• Process incoming & outgoing Visit Access Requests (VARs) for employees, customers, and partners
• Maintain access control and intrusion detection systems
• Work with the Corporate FSO and company-wide security team
• Establish and maintain working relationships with government and internal customers
• Provide security briefings, debriefings, and awareness training for site personnel
• Develop and/or contribute to corporate and location security policy and SOPs/SPPs
• Support the maintenance of COMSEC material with the COMSEC Manager
• Maintain Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI) program
• Contribute to the RMF process for information systems as it pertains to physical and
environmental security, personnel security, and incident response.

Requirements
• Must be a U.S. Citizen
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
• Must have an active Secret, or higher, U.S. government security clearance
• 10+ years' experience as a Facility Security Officer (FSO)/Security Manager, or equivalent position
• 10+ years' experience managing people, preferably in a Security role
• Completed CDSE FSO for Possessing Facilitates Certification
• Working knowledge of 32 CFR Part 117 NISPOM requirements for a possessing facility and Intelligence Community Directive (ICD) standards
• Working knowledge of DISS, NISS, SWFT, and e-QIP
• Experience in initiating and maintaining U.S. government security clearance applications
• Seasoned knowledge of multiple functional areas and DoD security programs
• Ability to effectively and proactively interact with staff, leadership, industry partners, and customer agencies
• Self-starter with ability to work independently
• Ability to interpret company and government security policies and apply them to program operations
• Ability to provide leadership and work with a diverse team and upper management to ensure compliance with security directives
• Ability to understand, explain, interpret, and apply rules, regulations, directives, and procedures
• Proficient with Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, and Microsoft PowerPoint
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Demonstrated attention to detail
• Ability to stand, walk, climb stairs, and climb ladders
• Ability to lift up to 40 pounds

Flexible Work Hours
The pay range for this position is $128,000 - $155,000/year. SciTec considers several factors when extending an offer of employment, including but not limited to the role and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, education/training, and key skills. This is not a guarantee of compensation.
