We're seeking an experienced Platform Engineer with an active security clearance to work directly at our customer's site. This role requires a self-sufficient professional with proven platform engineering experience who can integrate and deploy software applications in a secure environment.

Responsibilities:

• Serve as the platform engineering specialist within an integration team at our customer's site

• Lead integration and deployment of applications into containerized environments

• Design and implement deployment strategies across development, test, and operational systems

• Create, maintain, and enhance CI/CD pipelines

• Integrate development tools for artifact management, testing, and code analysis

• Lead troubleshooting of deployed applications

• Interface directly with customer stakeholders

• Work independently while collaborating with the broader integration team

• Provide technical guidance to other team members

• Other duties as assigned

Requirements

• Current active DoD security clearance

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or related technical field (or equivalent experience)

• 8+ years of experience in platform engineering, DevOps, or similar role

• 3+ years of experience with Linux systems

• 2+ years of experience with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes)

• 2+ years of experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines

• Experience with artifact management and version control systems

• Ability to work 100% on-site at customer location

• Detail oriented

• Good verbal and written communication skills

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with GitLab-CI or similar CI/CD tools

• Experience creating and maintaining Helm charts

• Experience with artifact management tools like Artifactory

• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills

• Experience integrating systems in government or secure environments

• Experience mentoring technical team members

• Previous experience in customer-facing roles

• The pay range for this position is $137,000- $194,000 / year. SciTec considers several factors when extending an offer of employment, including but not limited to the role and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, education/training, and key skills.
