Oracle Senior software engineer in BRISBANE, Australia
Job Description
We are looking for a senior software engineer with experience in software development to join the Intelligent Application Security team at Oracle Labs. This is an excellent opportunity to join and work as part of a research and engineering team building application security tools and frameworks, leveraging static and dynamic program analysis techniques. As senior software engineer, you shall be responsible for designing and implementing key components of an application security toolbox in the software supply chain security space. The components and APIs that you develop will ultimately help in landing the technologies developed at Oracle Labs into Oracle product groups at worldwide locations, including Oracle Cloud Infrastructure services.
What will you bring to the job?
Ideally, you have solid software engineering skills and three or more years experience as a software developer. A keen willingness to learn and adapt as the application security tools evolve, is essential.
A Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related disciplines
3+ years experience in design of APIs, frameworks and/or software tools
Knowledge of databases, Linux, Java, Python and API architectures (SOAP, XML, JSON etc.)
Strong problem-solving and communication skills
Experienced in implementing continuous integration and automated testing pipelines
Eligibility to work in the advertised location without sponsorship
Some of the below would help in terms of making you a standout candidate for the role.
Knowledge and experience in one or more of application security, software composition analysis, program analysis, static and dynamic analysis and/or vulnerability detection and management
Knowledge of build and dependency management tools like Maven and Gradle
Experience in cloud application development and/or distributed systems
Career Level - IC3
Responsibilities
As a member of the software engineering division, you will assist in defining and developing software for tasks associated with the developing, debugging or designing of software applications or operating systems. Provide technical leadership to other software developers. Specify, design and implement modest changes to existing software architecture to meet changing needs.
