Robert Half Accounts Receivable Clerk in Brookfield, Connecticut
Description We are on the search for a dedicated Accounts Receivable Clerk to be a part of our team in BROOKFIELD, Connecticut. In this role, your primary function will be to manage and maintain our customer credit records, ensure the timely and accurate processing of customer credit applications, and resolve any customer inquiries. You will also be tasked with closely monitoring customer accounts and initiating appropriate action when necessary.
Responsibilities:
• Meticulously prepare and distribute monthly invoices and pay applications to our customers.
• Work in close collaboration with the construction team to guarantee the billing of projects is both accurate and prompt.
• Manage the sending and collection of subcontractor/vendor lien waivers each month.
• Handle payments against accounts, making note of any discrepancies that may arise.
• Regularly review aging reports to ensure that payments remain current, and engage with customers for payment updates when necessary.
• Uphold accurate AR records and ensure that all billing documentation is properly filed.
• Process both internal and external invoices, as well as ACH payments, ensuring correct coding.
• Guarantee the integrity of outgoing payments and overall cash flow.
• Proactively work towards resolving any issues vendors may encounter.
• Accurately receive and record all forms of payment, including cash, checks, credit cards and ACH payments, on a daily basis.
• Provide assistance with month-end processing tasks.
• Prepare and maintain various reports as requested by management.
• Offer support for external audits when required. Requirements
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in an Accounts Receivable role or similar
• Proficiency in Account Reconciliation
• Proven experience with Accounts Receivable (AR)
• Demonstrable skills in Billing procedures
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is a must
• Candidates with experience in the construction industry pereferred
