Job Description:
The Operations Project Leader is responsible for leading global strategic operations for growing segments within the Accessories business. The ideal candidate will be a leader with proven big-picture strategic vision, problem solving and change management experience.
Job Responsibilities:
Leads large-scale, cross-functional projects or multiple projects at once.
May have formal supervisory responsibilities and oversees day-to-day activities of project team members. Provides timely, candid feedback to team members.
Contributes to organizational strategy and higher-level planning.
Consistently visualizes entire scope of a project with very little guidance.
Drives operational readiness through a cross functional project team.
Communicates, both verbal and written, to assure all groups are working toward the goal of timely project completion. Communicate technical details, ideas, and concepts to engineers and non-engineers in multiple locations.
Leads change management efforts to ensure project outcomes are sustained.
Analyzes, evaluates and selects from manufacturing alternatives to best meet objectives for capital, cost, capacity and timing.
Accountable for technical elements of project execution including integration of equipment, tooling, capability reviews, manufacturing process and safety, regulatory and standards compliance.
Identifies project risks and implements risk reduction plans.
Contributes to Relentless Improvement of business processes.
Interacts extensively with manufacturing plants and outside suppliers to achieve project goals.
Education and Experience Requirements:
Bachelor of Science Degree in Engineering, Operations Management, Supply Chain, or equivalent years of directly related experience in Operations roles
Formal project management training preferred.
Proven experience managing medium, moderately complex projects.
Minimum 5 years of experience in project management of operations or manufacturing experience.
Communicate, both verbally and written, to ensure team members are working toward the goal of timely project completion.
Ability to establish rapport and credibility.
Excellent problem identification and resolution skills.
Results driven and deadline oriented. Ability to manage projects to aggressive schedules and results.
Ability to handle fast paced and agile culture. Ability to adapt to constant change and competing priorities.
Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office software including Microsoft Project.
Periodic travel may be required up to 25%.
