Responsibilities
The candidate will support the development design and implementation of a new Enterprise Asset
Management program in New York City Transit Department of Buses and the MTA Bus Company. Support Depot Operations, Facilities, Support Fleet Services and Central Maintenance Facilities in the effective and efficient utilization of upgrading the existing Spear 4i Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) over to a Hexagon EAM system in accordance with maintenance policies and requirements. Support business re-engineering and CMMS restructuring to improve operational efficiency and the quality and granularity of the maintenance information activity captured daily. Research and provide performance analysis information to all levels of management using data mining and business intelligence tools such as Tableau, Oracle PL/SQL Developer and SQL plus as an extension of the Oracle database within the new EAM system. Interact with MTA IT to coordinate upgrades and enhancements to Buses EAM system. Provide continual training to the depots to ensure that the application continues to efficiently meet their needs. Design and produce all instructional material and user guides for Buses EAM system functional training. Monitor and correct all computer based interfaces with the application. Address application performance issues as they occur. Provide on-site support for the bus maintenance program within a depot during emergencies (snowstorms and other weather-related events, emergency incidents and power outages.)
Education and Experience
Associate Project Manager I
ONE (1) year of full-time satisfactory experience in supervising employees performing project management work, such as planning, administering, managing, coordinating, or expediting, on engineering and/or architectural and/or landscape architectural projects, or supervising a construction project with a value of $1,000,000 or more, and either:
A baccalaureate degree from an accredited college in engineering, architecture, landscape architecture, business administration or public administration, and one year of full-time satisfactory experience in project management work, such as planning, administering, managing, coordinating, or expediting, for engineering and/or architectural and/or landscape architectural projects; or
A four-year high school diploma or its educational equivalent and five years of experience as described in “1” above; or
A four-year high school diploma or its educational equivalent approved by the department of education of a state or a recognized accrediting organization plus any combination of experience and/or college education as described in “1” above to make up the equivalent of FIVE (5) years of education and experience. ONE (1) year of experience credit will be given for: (a) each 30 semester credits of college education leading to a baccalaureate degree from an accredited college in engineering, architecture, landscape architecture, business administration, public administration or a related field; (b) a Master’s degree from an accredited university in one of the disciplines described in “1” above; or (c) a valid New York State license as a Professional Engineer, Registered Architect or Registered Landscape Architect.
Assignment Level II: Special Requirements
In addition to meeting the qualification requirements for Assignment Level I, candidates must have at least ONE (1) additional year of experience as described in “1” above in a supervisory capacity or have served for at least ONE (1) year as a project manager for a large and/or complex construction project.
Assignment Level III: Special Requirements
In addition to meeting the qualification requirements for Assignment Level I, candidates must have at least TWO (2) additional years of experience as a project manager for a large and/or complex construction project.
