It is a time of growth at Constructive Partnerships (CP) Unlimited! The Agency recently expanded its constituency to include housing migrants at a Sanctuary Site in Brooklyn. We are a leading non-profit provider of residential, day habilitation, Article 16, vocational, wheelchair, and transport services throughout New York City and the Hudson Valley to people with intellectual and developmental disabilities.

POSITION SUMMARY: Shift supervisors will provide and oversee on-site trauma-informed social service delivery at our Sanctuary NYC site. Working cooperatively with hotel operations and security staff, shift supervisors will welcome and engage asylum-seeking families with children, manage daily social service operations, and provide on the ground support and supervision for Case Managers.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Supervise teams of 3 to 6 Case Managers.

  • Oversee social services operations and seamless transitions from one shift to the next.

  • Provide oversight and review to documentation of services generated by case management staff.

  • Ensure that case management staff provide culturally sensitive, trauma informed services.

  • Ensure appropriate Case Manager and Residential Aide coverage and monitor attendance,

  • Manage crises and disputes as appropriate, generate incident reports, counsel clients and or staff as needed.

  • Plan and troubleshoot with operations and security staff.

  • Coordinate interpretation and translation services as needed.

  • Coordinate on behalf of clients/families with the NYC Department of Education (DOE) as needed.

  • Coordinate on behalf of clients/families with the Mayor’s Office of Immigration Affairs (MOIA).

  • Providing coverage for Case Management staff as needed.

  • Manage and update client rosters.

    Job Requirements

  • Experience supervising case management staff in social services settings, ideally residential programs

  • Associate Degree required; Bachelor’s degree preferred

  • Three years of relevant social services experience with people who are vulnerable and have experienced significant trauma

  • Strong understanding of trauma and how it manifests, as well as experience delivering trauma-informed, culturally sensitive services.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  • Ability to learn quickly and problem-solve under pressure and within prescribed timelines

  • Strong organizational and leadership skills

  • Ability to work independently and manage a team

  • Working knowledge of immigration laws and procedures.

  • Strong understanding of child development, child welfare, and education requirements.
