Job Title: Machine Operator
Job Description
Prepare and stage materials for production, perform machine setup to specifications, and modify HMI settings. Start machines, regulate vacuum temperature, and synchronize the speed of extrusion. Operate and maintain machinery, including changing and cleaning extrusion heads. Monitor production lines, hopper levels, temperatures, and vacuum pressures. Perform tooling changes and reassemble using basic hand tools. Load product and materials into the machine, monitor product flow and temperature, and ensure quality products. Manually move up to 50 lbs and roll wheels weighing 700 - 1200 lbs. Operate forklifts and electric hand trucks to move materials and finished products. Examine and sample extruded products for defects, perform basic testing, and log findings. Modify products by changing HMI settings. Handle packaging, shipping, and receiving operations. Operate packaging equipment and assist where needed. Collect production data and use proper tools for the job. Bend, stoop, and lift products and tools as needed.

Ability to wear required safety equipment.
Ability to climb ladders and stairs.
Good eye to hand coordination.
Ability to lift a minimum of 60 lbs.
Safe operation of forklifts and hand trucks.

Work Environment
Shifts: 3 positions on 3rd shift (10:45 pm - 7:00 am, Monday - Friday) with potential overtime on weekends. Overtime is posted one week in advance, never exceeding 60 hours or scheduling a 7th day. Current work hours are 48 - 52 hours per week, with a busy season from February to June requiring 52 - 56 hours per week. Training on day shift for about 2 weeks is required. The company manufactures medical-grade rubber and plastic hoses for various industries. The staging and compounding areas are not temperature-controlled, with summer temperatures 15 degrees above outside temperatures. Individual fans and portable air blowers provide some cooling. Dress code: No jewelry, hair tied up if long, steel-toe shoes, long pants or jeans, and short sleeves allowed (no cut-off shirts or tank tops). Hearing and eye protection are required. Some areas require N95 face masks during specific tasks.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Brownsville, Tennessee.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $24.00/hr.
