Broadstreet Properties LTD Supervisor of Operational Support in Campbell River, British Columbia

Located in one of Canada’s most beautiful areas, the Supervisor of Operational Support role is based in Campbell River on Vancouver Island. This full-time permanent position offers an enviable lifestyle for an experienced member of the aviation industry.
Your contributions to the team include:
Ground operations, including supervising and performing fueling, exterior cleaning, and interior cabin preparation, aircraft stocking, lavatory Servicing; pre-flight readiness checks, and general ground movements.
Supervision, scheduling, training, and support of ramp attendants to ensure appropriate ground resources for arrivals and departures.
Fuel administration including Monitor/order fuel as necessary to maintain inventory for scheduled and unscheduled flying. Conduct daily and monthly inspections of the fuel system and perform/coordinate maintenance as required.
Waste & hazardous waste management.
Administrative responsibly of electronic flight bag (EFB) for crews as directed by FDM.
Ensure all required aviation technical documents are current and valid.
Fulfills responsible individual role in Emergency Response Plan.
Perform bi-weekly avionics database updating for GWON/FCON.
Operational support of escalated and irregular operations events such as aircraft diversions or maintenance events.
Hangars / Facilities responsibilities including cleaning, organizing, hazardous waste disposal, and minor maintenance of facilities. Manage cleaning supplies and landscape coordination with KDM.
Winter Operations, including coordinating snow removal with Gifford Equipment for departures/arrivals. Supervise/perform manual snow and ice removal. Supervise and conduct aircraft de-icing in accordance with TC regulations.
Departures/Arrival support, including Greeting guests, checking in baggage, & dangerous goods confirmations. Baggage loading/unloading & crew support.
Helicopter Operations, including hot loading operations, maintaining guest safety, baggage handling, and schedule coordination with BB staff.
Coordinating ground movements and parking with Airport Authority where applicable.
Driving services including stock pickup, guest transport, and guest valet.
Facilities security monitoring and response.
Company Mail (Cargo) including Coordinating with KDM staff regarding company mail to Cabo/Scottsdale Packaging goods, preparing manifest/receipts, and coordinating with receivers to ensure delivery.
Maintaining company training standards for ground handling and training all new hires on ground handling equipment (aircraft tugs) and procedures.
Provide accurate and timely reports and data to a required, including: Report any safety hazard or incident / non-compliance into the SMS, Monthly EFB report, Monthly equipment checks, Monthly fuel farm report, Monthly passenger reporting, Weekly status reports to FDM; and Certify expense reporting and approvals.
Review, approve and control direct report spending in accordance with company standards & limits.
Required Flight following for fixed wing and rotary trips.
Assist FDM with training materials development and technical administration.
Attend and participate all safety events, assigned meetings, and training.
Inspecting and scheduling maintenance of vehicles (including Tahoe) and ground equipment.
Maintaining inventory of equipment and non-consumables.
Other duties as assigned by the FDM.
What you need to be successful:
Valid Unrestricted Drivers License.
Valid Unrestricted Canadian Passport.
Functional ability to push / pull / carry up to 75lbs unassisted.
Ability to pass a background, security, and criminal record check.
At least 3 years’ experience in a leadership or supervisory position.
At least 1 years’ experience with aircraft ground handling.
Preferred 5 years’ experience in aviation.
Understand of relevant regulatory requirements.
Moderate computer skills.
Aviation Management diploma or degree considered an asset.
