About the Role
Hyatt Hotel Canberra is seeking a motivated, passionate and experience leader who will guide, inspire and coach our front office team, creating memorable guest experience and achieving and maintaining the highest levels of guest service.
The Assistant Manager - Front Office will focus on supporting the day-to-day activities of the Rooms Operations Team which includes Front Office, Bell Service and Concierge. This position requires a strong attention to detail and the ability to effectively deal with guests, other departments and team members.
Some of the responsibilities include:
Welcome guests and foster customer loyalty
Review arrival list for all arrivals and VIPs to check room allocations, amenities and special requests.
Handles any guest complaints or contentious issues that cannot be settled directly by team members and provides a fast solution.
Assume responsibility for all activities in the Hotel in the absence of more senior personnel.
Be fully aware of all activities within the Hotel on a day to day basis.
Coach and counsel employees to reflect Hyatt service standards and procedures
Integrates and trains employees, providing support for skills development.
Oversee and supervises guest arrivals and departures with the front office agents
Insures proper staffing levels for customer service goals
Ensure all operations and cash handling are done per policies and procedures
To be successful in this role you will need:
Outstanding guest services skills, sophisticated verbal & written communication skills
Excellent leadership and associate relation skills with ability to train, coach and counsel.
Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
Experience in hotel operations management highly regarded
Must be able to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays
Knowledge of Opera is desirable
