Reporting To: Sr. Director, Global Distribution

Compensation: $95,000 - $105,000 / year

Description

The Inside Sales Representative Manager will be responsible for managing the Inside Sales team, developing sales strategies, and ensuring exceptional customer service. This individual will work closely with the internal sales team, external sales representatives, and operations to optimize sales performance and maintain strong customer relationships.

Key Responsibilities

Team leadership and development

  • Lead, mentor, and develop the inside sales team to achieve individual and team sales targets.

  • Conduct regular performance evaluations, providing constructive feedback, to ensure standard work is being followed.

  • Foster a positive and collaborative team environment.

  • Develop and implement training programs to improve knowledge and skills of inside sales team.

Customer Relationship Management

  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with both internal and external customers.

  • Act as escalation path for customer inquiries, resolving issues and ensuring customer satisfaction.

  • Work closely with sales leadership, product marketing and operations to align sales efforts with company goals.

Performance Monitoring and Reporting

  • Utilize systems to track and manage sales metrics; generate reports on sales activities and team performance.

  • Establish a process to monitor quote conversion and sample follow-up.

  • Analyze sales trends to proactively engage customers for orders based on historic buys, lead-times, and inventory levels.

Process Improvement

  • Proactively identify areas for improvement within the sales process and implement best practices based on the voice of the customer.

  • Engage internal and external customers to understand their needs and areas to improve collaboration.

  • Document process improvement changes that can be utilized for onboarding and training.

Travel as needed to customers, manufacturing locations, rep and distributor offices.

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Sales, or related field (preferred)

  • 5+ years of experience in inside sales, with at least 2 years in a leadership role.

  • Experience in electronic components, manufacturing, or related industry is highly preferred.

  • Strong leadership and coaching skills.

  • Ability to analyze data and make informed decisions

  • Results oriented, with ability to thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment

  • Proficiency in SalesForce, MS Office and Windows. Microsoft Office

  • Fluent in English

Knowles is committed to providing a competitive and fair total compensation package for all employees.

One element in our total compensation package is base pay. The starting salary for this role is targeted to be between $95,000 to $105,000.

Individual compensation decisions are based on a number of factors, including but not limited to previous experience and skills acquired prior to joining Knowles, cost of living in the assigned work location, assigned schedule, and salaries of similarly situated peers at the company. It is to be expected that candidates will come to us with different sets of skills and experiences and therefore will be paid at different points in the stated range.
