Job Title: Selective Solder / AOI Operator
Job Description
Candidates will be performing basic machine operations on the Selective Solder or AOI line. This includes selecting programs from the computer and running the machine in a cleanroom environment.
Responsibilities
Inspect work for defects
Replace parts as needed or directed
Inspect product using a microscope
Follow documentation and procedures
Identify basic components
Read and comprehend English
Operate and inspect work using a microscope
Essential Skills
Experience with PCB, electronics, microelectronics, and PWB
Ability to read blueprints
Proficiency in operating microscopes
Experience in assembly and quality control
Knowledge of soldering and wire harnessing
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Basic Component ID Certification
Familiarity with hand tools like torque drivers, hand cutters, and screwdrivers
Basic math skills
Ability to recognize and distinguish colors
Knowledge of component prep and manual insertion of electrical components onto Printed Circuit Boards
Mechanical assembly of small electrical components
Experience using epoxy and RTV or other adhesives (non-toxic but odoriferous)

Work Environment
This role involves mechanical assembly in a PCB manufacturing setting, producing high-quality boards used in deep underground drilling equipment. Positions are available on 1st, 2nd, and 3rd shifts, with shift differentials of 10% and 20% for 2nd and 3rd shifts respectively. Employees must be comfortable working in a cleanroom environment, wearing full protective gear including bunny suits, foot covers, mouth covers, gloves, and hair nets. Makeup, fake nails, and nail polish are not permitted. Employees are required to wear close-toed shoes and pants. Overtime, including weekends, may be required after training.
