Aerotek is hiring for 2nd shift Maintenance Technicians in Charleston, IL
Job Description
The Maintenance Technician provides on-site technical support by troubleshooting and repairing equipment and performing routine preventative maintenance. This role diagnoses technical problems or errors and works to determine proper solutions.
Responsibilities
Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair mechanical systems including pneumatic and hydraulics
Perform Preventative and Predictive Maintenance tasks
Track performance via CMMS
Comply with quality management system
Essential Skills
Troubleshooting
Preventive maintenance
Industrial maintenance
Repair
Mechanical maintenance
2+ years of assembly or industrial maintenance experience
Background or exposure to PLCs and troubleshooting with ladder logic
Basic working knowledge of plumbing, carpentry, masonry, and electronics
Basic mechanical skills: motor replacement, mechanical part replacement, testing of repaired equipment for the service of associated refractory application equipment, machine installs
Ability to read and understand technical drawings and blueprints
Good mechanical aptitude to evaluate mechanical problems, outline requirements, plan projects, and solve problems
Basic computer skills
Good reading, writing, communication, and mechanical aptitude
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Schematic and blueprint reading
Knowledge of hydraulics and pneumatics
Welding experience is a plus

Work Environment
Non-climate controlled facility with roughly 180 workers onsite. Be comfortable working in tight places and heights as needed. This traditional manufacturing setting can be dirty at times.
Job Type & Location
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Charleston, Illinois.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $24.54 - $30.00/hr.
