Job Title: Service Technician
Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated Service Technician to join our team on a contract-to-hire basis. In this role, you will service and repair a fleet of industrial scrubbers, concrete grinders, and floor sweepers. Initially, you will work at our facility, and upon successful completion of the contract period, you will transition to a full-time Service Technician position, performing repairs and servicing equipment within a specified travel radius.
Responsibilities
Participate in daily meetings with team members.
Perform preventative maintenance and troubleshoot small engines, both electric and petroleum.
Disassemble and reassemble products to diagnose and execute repairs.
Utilize hand tools, power tools, measuring tools, and specialty tools to service equipment.
Ensure all rental equipment is thoroughly serviced and repaired upon return.
Learn to troubleshoot and repair equipment efficiently during the training period.
Address client complaints and provide excellent customer service.
Utilize service laptops or phones for communication while on the road.
Operate sit-down forklifts to move materials.

Work Environment
Our facility is climate-controlled and very clean, with open garage doors and large fans to circulate air. The facility spans approximately 45,000 square feet, organized with yellow safety lines, and dedicated spaces for equipment. Lunch breaks are 30 minutes, with two additional 10-minute breaks. The travel radius covers Charlotte, Asheville, Black Mountain, Shelby, and surrounding areas. Work hours are 7:30am-5pm, Monday through Friday, with no overnight or weekend work.
