Siemens Energy Tool Management Technician – Large Generator Rotors in Charlotte, North Carolina

A Snapshot of Your Day

As a Tool Management Technician, you will support the Large Generator Rotor manufacturing department by overseeing a substantial inventory of custom-made tools used for generator rotor winding and assembly. Your expertise with hand tools and power tools will be essential in maintaining the condition of these custom-made tools and toolkits. A successful technician will be detail-oriented and organized. You will collaborate closely with Manufacturing Engineers to understand the manufacturing process steps, enabling you to prepare and stage tools on the shop floor to support efficient production operations.

How You’ll Make an Impact

• Manage and organize tooling inventory.

• Inspect, repair, modify, and/or replace tools and fixtures.

• Engage in continuous improvement by applying 5S methodology as a component of a Lean production system.

What You Bring

• Must have high school diploma or equivalent.

• Experience with a variety of hand tool, power tools, and precision measuring devices.

• Ability to obtain forklift and crane license; previous experience is preferred.

• Successful applicants must be able to pass standard hearing, vision, and pulmonary function tests.

• Must also be able to read, write, understand, and follow verbal and/or written instructions in English.

• Must be able to live and work legally in the United States without sponsorship.

Zero or low emission power generation and all gas turbines under one roof, steam turbines and generators. Decarbonization opportunities through service offerings, modernization, and digitalization of the fleet.
