University of Virginia Ambulatory Pharmacy- Community Retail Position - Wage/PRN in Charlottesville, Virginia
Pharmacist ensures the safe effective and financially responsible use of medications by providing optimal drug product selection dosage regimen design effective administration and drug therapy monitoring services in the Medical Center.
Enters prescribing clinician orders into the appropriate computer application
Processes prescribing clinician's orders (prescriptions)
Oversees pharmacy technicians work
Provides drug information to patients, caregivers and providers
Performs pharmacy functions according to Federal, State, local Health System and Department statutes regulations and published guideline documents.
In addition to the above job responsibilities, other duties may be assigned.
Position Compensation Range: $52.46 - $83.94 Hourly
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Education: Bachelor's Degree required
Experience: No experience required
Licensure: Commonwealth of Virginia State Board of Pharmacy License. American Heart Association (AHA) Health Care Provider BLS certification required.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
Job requires standing and traveling for prolonged periods. Proficient communicative, auditory and visual skills; Attention to detail and ability to write legibly; Ability to lift/push/pull < 20lbs. May be exposed to chemicals.
