Oracle Senior Business Analyst - Retail Banking in CHENNAI, India

Job Description

This role will be required to report to our Bengaluru OR Chennai office 3x a week

Job Requirements

  • Strong background in analyzing complex business processes and IT applications.

  • Familiarity with core banking systems such as FLEXCUBE,Finacle,T24 is highly desirable.

  • Knowledge of banking domain processes and regulations, with the ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.

  • Familiarity with US market requirements and regulations is a plus, ensuring compliance with local and international standards.

Job Description

  • Gather and analyze business requirements from stakeholders within the retail banking domain.

  • Document functional specifications based on the business requirements.

  • Collaborate closely with development teams to ensure the successful implementation of solutions.

  • Conduct impact analysis to assess the effects of new features or changes on existing features.

  • Support testing efforts, including test case creation, execution, and defect tracking.

  • Provide user training and create training materials to ensure smooth adoption of new solutions.

  • Facilitate communication between business stakeholders and technical teams to align project goals.

  • Identify and recommend process improvements to optimize business operations and enhance product offerings.

  • Assist in prioritizing product backlog and ensuring the timely delivery of features based on business needs.

  • Stay updated with industry trends and regulations in the retail banking sector to ensure compliance and innovation in solutions.

  • Create and maintain functional specifications and work closely with development and testing teams to ensure alignment on business requirements and technical solutions.

  • Prepare test cases and perform unit testing as needed to validate business logic.

  • Provide business and functional guidance to the development and testing teams to help them become more independent in executing their tasks.

  • Analyze and understand complex IT applications and business processes to ensure accurate requirement gathering and solution design.

  • Prepare detailed requirement specifications and support the User Acceptance Testing (UAT) process to ensure the solution meets business needs.

  • Involved in functional and manual testing, particularly for core banking systems.

  • Participate in test design analysis and adopt Test-Driven Development (TDD) practices, ensuring that business requirements are fully understood and reflected in the test scenarios.

  • Provide walkthroughs to the development and testing teams, explaining the business requirements and how they translate into system functionality.
