Warehouse Associate Job brief

We are looking for a capable Warehouse Associate to support our company's warehouse operations. You will receive, input, sort, load and unload products and you will perform various warehouse activities.

Warehouse Associate duties and responsibilities

Warehouse Associate job description should contain the following duties and responsibilities:

Recognize safety as our number one priority, identify and resolve safety hazards, and follow all company safety guidelines. Wear all appropriate PPE, following safety guidelines and aware of the proper use of any tools and or equipment. Reports to the Warehouse Manager.

· Welcome delivery trucks

· Receive and track shipments

· Receive PO's

· Embark merchandise in delivery trucks using appropriate tools

· Accommodate and carefully handle fragile merchandise

· Track and document exact shipment arrival and departure times

· Tag and label merchandise

· Label and stockpile merchandise according to size, shape, and type.

· Box, wrap and pack merchandise in accordance with relevant procedures and standards

· Prepare all orders for shipment

· Record and manage all impaired or damaged merchandise items

· Operate adequate merchandise management tools (for example, forklift/Hilo, sitting and standing)

· Keep warehouse clean and organized daily.

· Processing, packaging and shipping orders accurately

· Organizing stocks and maintaining inventory

· Inspecting products for defects and damages

Warehouse Associate requirements and qualifications

Warehouse Associate job description should contain the following requirements and qualifications:

· Team Player

· Problem Solver

· Valid Driver's License -- Chauffeur license preferred with ability to drive box truck

· Forklift Operation Certification will be considered an advantage

· Previous working experience as a Warehouse Worker for 5 years preferred

· Hands on experience with inventory and logistics inventory

· Great physical stamina and manual dexterity

· Good organizational and time-management skills

· Great interpersonal and communication skills

· Proven warehouse experience

· Ability to operate forklift, hand truck, pallet jack and other warehouse equipment

· Adequate knowledge of warehouse data system

· Team player with organizational skills

· Ability to lift or move heavy products

· High school diploma
