Job Title: General Production Worker
Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated General Production Worker to join our team. In this role, you will manufacture carbon fiber parts, operate equipment in the post-cure area, handle chemicals safely, work in a team environment, ensure quality control, maintain the work area, adhere to company policies, participate in training, and commit to safety, quality, and efficiency.
Responsibilities
Produce precise and consistent carbon fiber parts.
Trim and cut carbon fiber parts.
Add/remove carbon fiber pieces using hand tools.
Cut and stack pieces of foam-core.
Prepare molds and load carbon fiber pieces into molds.
Lay up materials and cure the laid-up carbon fiber parts.
Operate grinders, sanders, drill press, and media blaster.
Finish parts to required specifications.
Work with epoxy and glue, and use chemicals for various job aspects.
Follow safety protocols and procedures.
Collaborate with team members and contribute to production targets and goals.
Show flexibility and willingness to help with other duties.
Support team objectives.
Follow quality control measures, check for defects, and produce high-quality carbon fiber parts.
Keep the work area clean and organized.
Properly store and dispose of materials and chemicals.
Follow manufacturing processes, comply with safety regulations, and wear proper PPE.
Engage in ongoing training programs to enhance skills and knowledge in carbon fiber production.
Demonstrate commitment to safety, quality, and efficiency in work.
Participate in additional duties such as packing, taping, and labeling.
Essential Skills
Minimum 6 months of manufacturing experience in an industrial setting.
Experience using tools such as ratchet, sander, grinder, hand drill, hammer, and measuring tape.
Steel Toe Work Boots.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Experience working with carbon fiber.

Work Environment
Candidates will be working indoors in a temperature-controlled room. The role involves working closely with others in the Carbon Fiber and Finishing Departments, while the Foam-core department is more open. The work environment is not suitable for individuals with plastic allergies. Shifts are Monday to Thursday from 1:30 PM to 12:00 AM (4 x 10h) or Monday to Friday from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM. The dress code requires steel toe work boots and casual attire.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Chilliwack, British Columbia.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $18.50 - $21.00/hr.
