We are in search of a Sr. Accountant to join our team in the Insurance industry based in Cincinnati, Ohio. As a Sr. Accountant, you will play a crucial role in our corporate accounting team, focusing on end-of-year financial activities. This role provides a long-term contract employment opportunity, offering the chance to work independently while understanding and implementing various accounting processes.

Responsibilities:

• Efficiently manage the process of customer credit applications.

• Ensure the accuracy of customer credit records.

• Resolve any customer inquiries in a timely and detail-oriented manner.

• Monitor customer accounts and implement appropriate actions when necessary.

• Conduct account and balance sheet reconciliations.

• Maintain the general ledger and make necessary journal entries.

• Use Microsoft Excel for various accounting tasks.

• Handle the process of month-end close efficiently.

• Prepare statutory accounting and financial reporting.

• Manage the preparation of seven sets of statutory statements and fifteen sets of audited statements.

Requirements • Applicant must have a comprehensive understanding of Account Reconciliation processes.

• Proficiency in Balance Sheet Reconciliation is essential.

• Experience with Bank Reconciliations is required.

• Candidate should be well-versed with General Ledger management.

• Ability to record and handle Journal Entries is necessary.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is a must.

• Experience with Month End Close procedures is expected.

• Knowledge of Statutory Accounting is required.

• Candidate must be capable of producing accurate Financial Reports.
