MetroHealth EVP Executive Advisor to the CEO-General Administration in CLEVELAND, Ohio

Summary:

Reporting directly to the President & Chief Executive Officer (CEO), serves as a strategic advisor and thought partner to the CEO by providing oversight and guidance of the core clinical team, which encompasses a combination of responsibilities including strategic assistance/support, special project management, internal/external relationship management, operational oversight, mentorship, thought leadership, diplomacy and problem solving. Serves as a member of the CEO Council Leadership team. Plays a key role in ensuring that the President & CEO can fully deliver on responsibilities and goals/objectives through proactive and strategic project management, research and briefing, relationship stewardship, and hands-on logistical and operational support. Maintains a high level of confidentiality in the execution of broad and complex assignments related to the duties of the President & CEO. Acts on behalf of and/or represents the CEO at events, activities, and meetings in a manner that reflects the CEO’s priorities and The MetroHealth System’s mission, goals, and values. Consistently exhibits sensitivity to confidential matters, an elevated level of professionalism, tact and diplomacy. Upholds the mission, vision, values, and customer service standards of The MetroHealth System. The executive is required to lead efforts to optimize revenue generation and cost efficiency across the enterprise, including collaborating with the Senior Executive Vice President of Clinical Transformation, Innovation and Strategy, as well as various operations and leadership in physician and nursing sectors on specific initiatives. These initiatives aim to attract new patients to the system and enhance utilization by existing patients.

Qualifications:

Required:

· Advanced degree (e.g., MD, JD, MBA, MHA, MHSA, or MPA), or any equivalent combination of education, training, and experience in addition to the experience stated below.

· 15 years of healthcare industry experience, specifically public safety net health systems.

· Resilience and flexibility; ability to work calmly under pressure and deal with a fast-changing workload and demanding deadlines.

· Proactive, ingenious, and creative approach to solving problems.

· Outgoing, helpful disposition and the ability to deal with people respectfully, diplomatically, and firmly as appropriate.

· Demonstrable experience of working at a strategic level with a busy, high-profile CEO-level executive and team.

· Displays the ability to be collaborative and a quick study. Able to deal with confidential matters discreetly.

· Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (i.e., Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Visio, etc.).

· Possesses a high degree of analytic ability, the ability to manage multiple priorities, and the ability to pivot from one assignment to the next with ease.

· Driven by personal values that are consistent with The MetroHealth System’s values with a focus on the best interests of the System.

· Enthusiastic, upbeat, and able to manage stress of multiple competing projects and priorities.

· Ability to interact effectively with a wide range of cultural, ethnic, racial, and socioeconomic backgrounds.

Preferred:

· Prior experience as a CEO and/or a COO in a health care environment.

· Experience of project management.

· Ability to produce well-presented and coherent written and visual materials quickly.

· Experience of effective teamwork in a virtual setting with staff.

· Excellent communication skills, including the ability to produce clear, grammatically correct written documents and presentations.

· Numeracy and financial literacy.

Physical Requirements:

· May sit, stand, stoop, bend, and ambulate intermittently during the day.

· May need to sit or stand for extended periods.

· See in the normal visual range with or without correction.

· Hear in the normal audio range with or without correction.

· Finger dexterity to operate office equipment required.

· Ability to communicate in face-to-face, phone, email, and other communications.

· Ability to see computer monitor and departmental documents.
