Amergis Addiction Counselor (LCADC) - Part Time (Hybrid) in Columbia, Maryland
Position: Addiction Counselor

Schedule: Part Time
Schedule is flexible between client and staff member, they open Monday-Saturday 9am-8pm so last session can be 7 pm.
Part time hours starting out, for about 10-20 hours a week with patients added on as needed.
Hybrid position depending on the patients' needs the session can be either in person or telehealth.
Start Date: ASAP (2 weeks following offer)
Contract Length: 18 weeks (opportunity for internal transition)
EssentialDuties/Responsibilities:
Managing all aspects of a case from date of entry to date of discharge.
Evaluating patients' physical and mental behaviors.
Developing appropriate treatment and recovery plans.
Facilitating individual and group therapy sessions.
Monitoring patients over time to access treatment progress.
Collaborating with psychiatrists, doctors, nurses, social workers, and departments of correction.
Identifying behaviors that interfere with treatment and recovery.
Assisting primary caregivers to manage addiction-related behavior.
Minimum Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in psychology, sociology, social work or public health required
Current license or certificate in addictions/substance abuse counseling in the state of assignment required
Experience in behavioral health guidelines, to include behavioral health assessments, individual and group therapy, clinical management of patients with mental illness and / or substance abuse issues preferred
Current CPR if applicable
TB questionnaire, PPD or chest x-ray if applicable
Current Health certificate (per contract or state regulation)
Must meet all federal, state and local requirements
Must be at least 18 years of age
