Robert Half Accounting Assistant in Columbus, Indiana

Description We are in search of an Accounting Assistant to join our team in COLUMBUS, Indiana. This position offers a short term contract employment opportunity in the financial services industry. As an Accounting Assistant, you will be tasked with handling accounting functions, managing software systems, and ensuring accurate financial records.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee and manage accounting software systems for efficient work processes.

• Handle ADP - Financial Services to ensure smooth financial operations.

• Utilize Great Plains (GPAC) for accounting tasks and functions.

• Manage Microsoft Office Suites for various accounting tasks and reporting.

• Perform accounting functions to ensure financial accuracy and compliance.

• Oversee accounts payable (AP) to ensure timely and accurate payments.

• Manage accounts receivable (AR) to ensure prompt and accurate receipt of funds.

• Handle billing functions to ensure accurate invoicing and payment collection.

• Oversee cash activity to ensure proper cash management and record keeping.

• Use Microsoft Excel for data management and financial analysis. Requirements • Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems is required for efficient financial data management.

• Familiarity with ADP - Financial Services is expected for effective payroll and HR services management.

• Experience with Great Plains (GPAC) is a plus for managing business accounting needs.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is essential for data analysis and reporting purposes.

• Competency in Microsoft Office Suites is required for effective document management and communication.

• Understanding of Accounting Functions is essential for maintaining accurate financial records.

• Experience in managing Accounts Payable (AP) is necessary for maintaining timely and accurate payment records.

• Proficiency in managing Accounts Receivable (AR) is required to ensure efficient and accurate receipt of payments.

• Experience in Billing Functions is necessary to effectively manage invoicing processes.

• Knowledge of Cash Activity is essential for managing daily cash transactions and reconciliations.
