Program Operations Manager
Required Qualifications: (as evidenced by an attached resume)
Bachelor’s degree (foreign equivalent or higher). Three (3) years of full-time experience working in an administrative/program management role with progressive responsibility. Project management experience. Proficient with Microsoft Office, namely Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Access.
Preferred Qualifications:
Master’s degree (foreign equivalent or higher). Five (5) or more years of full-time experience working in an administrative/program management role with progressive responsibility. Experience in a healthcare organization. Research experience. Experience in writing reports, grant/contract applications, and business correspondence. Knowledge of the policies and procedures of the WTC Health Program.
Brief Description of Duties:
The Program Operations Manager (POM) reports to the Administrative Deputy Director and works on projects to enhance the collaborative multi-specialty care model at the Long Island WTC Health Program Clinical Center of Excellence at Stony Brook Medicine. They will lead and manage initiatives to maintain and improve quality of the day-to-day operations. The Program Manager will work with other managers to build an environment of collaboration. They will work hands-on with teams to establish and maintain better systems for increasing efficiency and communication in key areas to improve the overall quality of care provided by the Clinical Center of Excellence case management services. Key areas of focus for this position is the operations of the multi-site health program that provides and manages healthcare for over 10,000 patients yearly and supporting the mandatory reporting for the federal contract. The ideal applicant will have strong writing and presentation skills.
The incumbent will be responsible for independently managing a wide-range of projects, including, project organization, developing plans and timelines, and seeing projects through completion. In addition, the POM will conduct operational analyses and preparing reports for submission to funding agency. The incumbent must be able to develop collaborative relationships with supervisors in order to make sure projects are meeting Program requirements and deadlines for contract deliverables. Must be capable of understanding and interpreting data and formatting data charts for reporting purposes. The incumbent will be responsible for planning and organizing meetings. The incumbent will be a point of contact for the federal government when the Administrator is unavailable. The incumbent will be privy to higher level discussions and therefore must always act with a high level of professionalism when dealing with confidential information.
Duties:
Assist Administrative Deputy Director manage day-to-day operations of a large multi-site clinical research program.
Independently manage projects that focus on operational improvements across the organization under the Administrative Deputy Director.
Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to facilitate development and implementation of new processes and programs.
Compile facts and data for proposing solutions and summarizing problems.
Provide analysis, insights and recommendations to supervisor.
Projects include but are not limited to, operations manual and technical guidance implementation.
Preparing and writing reports, including compiling data for the reports.
Responsible for managing ad hoc requests from the government.
Keep calendar of all deliverables and organize process for timely submission.
Special Projects as assigned, including preparation of grant applications, presentations and meetings.
Other duties as assigned.

The Research Foundation of SUNY is a private educational corporation. Employment is subject to the Research Foundation policies and procedures, sponsor guidelines and the availability of funding. FLSA Exempt position, not eligible for the overtime provisions of the FLSA. Minimum salary threshold must be met to maintain FLSA exemption.

The incumbent must be willing to work and travel between the Westbury and Commack clinic locations. Occasional Evenings and Saturdays will be required.
