Kuehne+Nagel Operations Specialist in Contern, Luxembourg
The Operations Specialist is a team member of 4PL Control Tower of Integrated Logistics in Contern, Luxembourg.
Your Role
The Integrated Logistics Operation Specialist ensures daily execution of the services in scope and commits to the first-class level of the respective services (e.g. Order Fulfilment, Transport Management, Freight Settlement, Request and Deviation Management, Visibility, and Monitoring), according to joint and contractual agreements made with the customer. He/she interacts with relevant counterparts of the involved parties for all services in scope.
Your Responsibilities
Coordinate transport services for customer orders;
Select transport modes and logistics service providers;
Handle manual order entries, execute administrative tasks, and respond to requests from stakeholders;
Execute event monitoring services, issue or respond to deviations reported, recognize and escalate operational issues, and provide input for quality review meetings;
Adhere to existing guidelines and standard operating procedures;
Act as a main contact for the services in scope;
Show ownership within the area of responsibility and execute tasks with expected level of productivity & performance.
Your Skills and Experiences
At least 1 year of working experience in the logistics and/or customer service sector, or an equivalent level of education;
Knowledge & understanding of at least two of the transport modes (Road, Sea or Air Transport);
Strong customer service orientation;
Ability to understand and execute new processes;
Interest in working with transport management systems and with statistical data/figures;
Good knowledge of MS Office features (advanced knowledge of Excel);
Ability to work on own initiative and as part of a team;
Acting and behaving in line with KN's Behaviours;
Fluency in English (written and spoken). Knowledge of one additional language is an asset.
