Broadridge is hiring! The Manager of Production Operations is responsible for all facets of production, including machine insertion, manual insertion and our offline metering machines. This includes developing and implementing strategies to improve PEQ (Productivity, Efficiency, and Quality) along with overall talent development of all associates. The managing of all departmental expenses such as Unit Cost, Temp Expense and discretionary spending. It also includes the development of capacity plans that will support client commitments and meet or exceed departmental PEQ goals along with all SLAs (Service Level Agreements). This is an on-site role that will be assigned to a Broadridge location where you will perform the majority of your work.

Responsibilities:
Evening manager shift: 4:00 PM - 12:30 AM, with some flexibility required during training and peak times
Manage a team of 4 - 8 people including a supervisor
Responsible for maximizing Client Mail equipment utilization by ensuring that all machines are kept running and work is prioritized appropriately.
Maintain current knowledge of high-speed insertion and manual insertion and relevant technologies used within other Broadridge locations and within the industry.
Must have solid technical knowledge of all Client Mail equipment along with a solid understanding of the functions of all other departments. (Including their capabilities, limitations, capacities, etc.).
Prepares business cases as required for capital expenditures.
Maintains current industry knowledge of USPS regulations and ensures that all work is inserted in accordance of postal requirements.
Provides staff with performance feedback on a regular basis, ensuring that all performance is thoroughly and accurately documented.
Effectively deals with personnel related issues, ensuring that all assigned staff are effectively managed, motivating staff to create a highly engaging workforce. Communicates and continually reinforces Broadridges Values, Vision and Quality Policy, along with our unyielding commitment to the Service Profit Chain.
Ensure that multiple backups are available to support each function with Client Mail Insertion and Manual Distribution.
Must be able to travel occasionally to attend trade shows, or internal/external site visits.
Must demonstrate detailed knowledge of, and proficiency with, Client Mail equipment including (PB Inserters, Gunther and BB600). Must also possess the ability to effectively develop and manage a thorough training program to train new temps and associates for all positions as needed.
Qualifications:
Associates Degree or Bachelors Degree (Accounting, Management, or a related field) preferred, or equivalent experience
3-5 years of management experience in a high paced environment, along with 1-2 years of relevant print/mail, production or manufacturing experience. Must have experience managing a departmental budget and prior experience with capacity planning.
Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, and Excel, including knowledge of pivot tables, advanced formulas, file linking, charts/graphs, etc.)
Strong oral and written communication skills. Must be able to communicate effectively with staff and management at multiple levels.
Solid organizational skills. Must be able to effectively multi-task and manage multiple priorities simultaneously, working effectively under tight deadlines and pressure.
Must be detail-oriented and able to review jobs before they are inserted and after to ensure that they meet quality standards.
Must be a self-starter and demonstrate strong initiative.
Must be flexible to work various shifts, overtime, including weekends & holidays.
Must demonstrate the ability to work effectively in a fast paced and demanding operational environment.
Some travel (trade shows, seminars, equipment manufacturers and other Broadridge facilities) as required.
