Job Description Summary

As the QC Leader, you'll be responsible for the Specialist team within the QC department. You'll help enable efficient and effective release of finished product and stability samples within turnaround times in a manner consistent with cGMP rules and regulations. You'll also help meeting the demand for continuous improvement in productivity, responsiveness and cost effectiveness in the laboratory.

Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Supporting the QC Laboratory in its commitment to Raw Material turnaround times.

  • Responsible for the reporting on Key Performance Indicators and right first time metrics for the group.

  • Leading, motivating and developing reports in addition to setting measurable and challenging goals for the group. Enable regular feedback systems as a group and on an individual basis.

  • Perform succession planning to ensure service level to core business is maintained at all times

  • Reviewing batch documentation and providing support to the RM team - coordinating timelines and signing of Manual Certs of Analysis.

  • Deputise in absence of QC Manager and Departmental designate for complaints, LIR and trackwise sign off for QC Manager.

  • Ensuring complaint batches, are investigated, analysed and results reported as per service level agreements.

Qualifications and Reequipments

  • Primary degree in Science essential supported by a sound technical background in a chemistry discipline or equivalent

  • Strong supervisory experience in Pharmaceutical industry desirable

  • Excellent leadership and communication skills are a pre-requisite for this role.
