Merchandiser, Dickies Mens Tees & Fleece

What will you do?

A day in the life of a Merchandiser for Mens and Tees at Dickies looks a little like this.

The Merchandiser for Men's Tees and Fleece will support the merchandising strategy and execution for our global men's tees and fleece categories. This role requires an individual with a background in merchandising, particularly in casual and workwear, and a keen understanding of market trends and consumer needs. The Merchandiser will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to ensure that our products meet the highest standards of quality, price/value, functionality, and style. This role reports to the Director of Workwear Merchandising. 

Let’s break down that day-in-the-life a bit more.

  • Lead the merchandising strategy and execution of innovative, functional, and trend-relevant men's tees and fleece that align with the brand’s vision and business objectives. 

  • Effectively integrate performance and lifestyle assortments for one overall global category assortment 

  • Ensure diligent line management and high data integrity, including segmentation intent, pricing, margin, mark ups, initial forecasting, and historical analysis 

  • Support the GTM process and ensure effective inputs and outputs 

  • Supporting the Sr. Director of Workwear in seasonal milestones and non-seasonal projects with marketplace and competitor insights to inform near and long-term assortment decisions 

  • Develop a strong understanding of the market to identify opportunities and threats, stay up to date on industry trends, consumer trends, and competitor activities; conduct market research and trend analysis to stay ahead. 

  • Ensure all products meet quality, price/cost, fit, and functional standards, with a priority considering cost and manufacturability. 

  • Foster a creative and collaborative work environment, contributing to the development of the merchandising team. 

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external partners. 

  • Present merchandising strategies and collections to senior leadership and key stakeholders. 

  • Continuously analyze the category and evaluate changes needed to improve efficiency, relevance, profitability, and commercial viability. 

What do you need to succeed?

Additionally, while formal education in a related field is great to have, we are most interested in your 3-5 years of experience and professional achievements.

The foundation skills you will need in this position are:

  • Strong organizational and project management skills

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and merchandising management software

  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail

  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively

  • Creative mindset with the ability to support innovation in product offerings

  • Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external partners

  • Knowledge of market trends and consumer behavior in the apparel industry

  • 3-5 years of merchandising experience, preferably in the apparel or consumer goods industry

Hiring Range :

$73,440.00 USD - $91,800.00 USD annually

Incentive Potential : This position is eligible for additional compensation awards that may include an annual incentive plan, sales incentive, or commission potential.
