J ob Summary
Sr. Contract Variance Specialist identifies payment variances at the account level based on expected reimbursement from contracted managed care payers, governmental payers and non-contracted miscellaneous payers. This position will be the contract language expert for our many payers.
Job Requirements
M inimum Education Requirement :
High School diploma or equivalent required.
Minimum Experience Requirement :
Minimum 7-10 years’ experience in Commercial insurance collections, including submitting and following up on claims and appeals. Detailed knowledge of Managed Care reimbursement methodologies. Experience in Hospital/Facility billing. Knowledge and experience with revenue cycle, including the billing, follow up and payment processes. Experience with payer contract language and various payment methodologies. Critical thinking skills and able to identify trends and/or process improvement opportunities will be expected. Knowledge of various billing and payers systems and able to compare, analyze and communicate trends and/or problems. Ability to adapt to learning a wide range of systems and regulations. Proficiency with MS Office. Excellent customer service and communication skills.
