Job Description
This position will be responsible for the assembly and startup of all equipment. The person in this opportunity will be fitting and assembling machinery components according to blueprints, manuals, engineering memos, sketches, and knowledge of machine construction to construct, rebuild, and repair machines and equipment. You will operate jib, overhead crane, air/hand powered tools, and forklift. The ability to problem solve new assembly problems as they arise and help to determine workable solutions is essential. You will also need to be able to measure with, read, and comprehend measuring devices such as tape measures, calipers, radius gages, and go/no-go gages.
Responsibilities
Assemble and start up all equipment.
Fit and assemble machinery components according to blueprints, manuals, engineering memos, sketches, and knowledge of machine construction.
Construct, rebuild, and repair machines and equipment.
Operate jib, overhead crane, air/hand powered tools, and forklift.
Problem solve new assembly problems and determine workable solutions.
Measure with, read, and comprehend measuring devices such as tape measures, calipers, radius gages, and go/no-go gages.
Record production and inspection activities in computer-based business system/program.
Conduct test runs with completed tools to ensure that parts meet specifications and make adjustments as necessary.
Essential Skills
Mechanical assembly and mechanical aptitude.
Blueprint reading and interpretation.
Proficiency with hand and power tools.
Knowledge of hydraulics and mechanical repair.
Understanding of electrical circuits.
Experience with tooling and welding.
Ability to operate an overhead crane.
Ability to measure in feet and inches to 1/31” with a standard tape measure.

Work Environment
Large equipment manufacturing shop. The shop is open from 5:00am - 5:30pm (Monday - Friday) and Saturday from 5:00am - 11:00am. Standard hours are 6:00am - 2:30pm. Employees are currently working 50 - 55 hours per week due to high demand.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $25.00/hr.
