Ford Motor Company Manufacturing Process Engineer in Dearborn, Michigan

This position consists of working with internal Ford Stamping/PD Engineering teams as well as external tool suppliers to deliver (Best in Class) - Proggressive, Hydroform, Hot Stamp and Roll Form Tooling.

What you'll do…

  • Review feasibility of product/tooling design for all new model programs. (Progressive, Hydro form, Hot Stamp and Roll form tooling)

  • Work with stamping plants on lessons learned for future implementation on future programs.

  • Help drive and execute PD change requests through Job 1.

  • Collaborate with other team members to create quote recap information. This drives discussions with purchasing as it pertains to awarding new model program work to outside supply base.

  • Responsible for 50% and 100% design reviews with tool suppliers.

  • Responsiblie for TVM related cost save porject.

  • Work with (Forward model program group) - Assist with in-sourcing projects as required.

  • Responsible for tool buyoff meetings follow all Ford standards at outside supply base. (Some travel required)

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Individual must have Bachelor of Engineering degree and/or equivalent work experience.

  • Candidate must be able work in a fast pace continuous improvement team environment.

  • CAD Requirement: Catia V5 and/or Catia 3DX

  • Simulation software Requirement: AutoForm

  • PLM knowledge: Teamcenter and Catia 3DX

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Die Design experience a plus
