Job Description
We are looking for a mechanical maintenance supervisor to lead our maintenance team in a food manufacturing environment. This role involves managing a team of mechanics, electricians, and refrigeration technicians. Responsibilities include attending meetings, completing reports and work orders, ensuring deadlines are met, and managing quality and preventative maintenance. The supervisor will also assist with hands-on troubleshooting and maintenance duties as needed.
Must Have
4+ years of experience as a maintenance supervisor.
2+ years of experience in a food and beverage experience.
Knowledge of refrigeration/ammonia, electrical, and mechanical maintenance.
Strong leadership skills with experience in leading a maintenance team.
Ability to understand and log preventative maintenance schedules in a computer system.
Experience in creating and writing plans in an ERP system.
Proficiency in maintenance tasks including hydraulics, pneumatics, mechanical repair, 3-phase electrical systems, troubleshooting, installation, fabrication, machinery production, conveyor systems, assembly, blueprint reading, welding, and electrical work.
Responsibilities
Manage and lead a team of mechanics, electricians, and refrigeration technicians.
Attend and participate in meetings.
Complete and manage reports and work orders.
Ensure team meets deadlines and maintains quality standards.
Oversee and implement preventative maintenance schedules.
Assist with hands-on troubleshooting and maintenance tasks.
Train team members and handle disciplinary actions.
Organize and log work orders and reports in a computer system.
Work Environment
This role is based in a high-speed food production facility that adheres to food sanitation standards. The facility can experience very hot and very cold temperatures in different areas. The equipment is older, requiring strong problem-solving abilities to repair and maintain operations. The maintenance team includes electrical, mechanical, and refrigeration technicians, while other departments consist of production workers and forklift drivers.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $38.00/hr.
