Insight Global Sr. IT System Administrator in Deerfield Beach, Florida

Job Description

Insight Global is seeking a qualified IT System Administrator in support of one of our clients in Deerfield Beach, FL. This candidate will be responsible for managing and maintaining our company's IT systems, ensuring optimal performance, security, and reliability. This role involves troubleshooting technical issues, implementing system upgrades, and providing support to end-users. Their day to day will include but is not limited to:

 Management of MS Active Directory: Oversee and maintain the Active Directory environment, including user accounts, group policies, and security settings.

 Virtual Desktop Infrastructure: Manage and support virtual desktop environments, ensuring high availability and performance for end-users (Citrix, AVD, AWS Workspaces).

 Back Office Application Support: Provide support for critical back-office applications, troubleshooting issues and ensuring optimal functionality (O365, Exchange Online, Intune, OneDrive, SharePoint, SAP GUI).

 Manage and support desktop computers and other devices, including iGEL devices, ensuring they are up-to-date and secure.

 Oversee the installation, configuration, and maintenance of network printers and related devices.

 Patch Management: Implement and manage patch management processes to ensure all systems are up-to-date and secure.

 Develop and maintain PowerShell scripts to automate tasks and improve efficiency within the IT infrastructure.

 Implement and enforce security policies and procedures to protect against unauthorized access, vulnerabilities, and threats.

 Manage projects from inception to completion, ensuring timely delivery, within scope and budget, while meeting or exceeding quality standards.

 Maintain detailed network documentation, including design diagrams, configuration files, and standard operating procedures.

 Provide guidance and training to other Sys Admins and IT staff, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.

 Coordinate with vendors to ensure timely support and resolution of technical issues.

 Stay current with emerging network technologies and trends, recommending and implementing innovative solutions to enhance the company's efficiency

Skills and Requirements

5-8 years of experience in a system administration role, with a focus on the responsibilities listed above.

 Proficient with MS Active Directory, MS O365, Exchange Online, GPOs, and PowerShell scripting.

 Experience with Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI), Citrix, Azure Virtual Desktop, AWS Workspaces, and iGEL devices.

 Experience with Virtualization Technologies. (VMware, Nutanix, HyperV)

 Experience working with ServiceNow

 Knowledge of project management methodologies or project management experience.

 Basic network troubleshooting involves identifying and resolving connectivity issues to ensure smooth communication within an organization. (IP management, Subnets, gateways, DNS, DHCP, ping, traceroute)

 Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

 Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

 Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Professional experience with cloud services (AWS, Azure).
