LDI Mechanical Inc. HVAC Service Technician in Denver, Colorado
Job Description:
Start-up Technician Continuity test and wire all indoor/outdoor mechanical systems Charge HVAC systems including but not limited to: gages, nitrogen bottles, vacuum pumps, Freon Braze copper lines (to fix leaks) Oxygen & acetylene bottles Checking pressure on condensers (using gauges & freon) Purge Aquatherm style air handlers of air Breakdown of duties: * All times are approximate & vary depending on the job that day:
Walking - approx mile - 2 miles' daily Standing - Approx 8 hours' daily Lifting - 30 minutes or more daily Stooping - 6 hours' daily Climbing ladders/stairs- 8 hours' daily Bending - 8 hours' daily
Activity of duties: Indoor Section/Inside units (i.e. M/F Air handler or fan coil, S/F Furnace): Continuity test thermostat cables for thermostat/condenser Wire Air handler Set/Install thermostats Check temperature coming out of grills Check to make sure thermostat is working properly Check for appropriate air flow out of registers Outdoor Section/Condensers Put Gages on units to check/test pressure Evacuate the system using vacuum pump Pre-charge w/Freon Run test for operating pressures and adjust anything as needed
Weight & Size: * All weight & size are approximate: Ladder- approx. 10-100 lbs. Vacuum Pump - Approx 25-30 lbs. Gages - 3 lbs. Nitrogen Bottle - 40- 50 lbs. (55 cu.) Freon Bottle - 25 lbs. Oxygen & Acetylene bottles (on a caddy) - 35-40 lbs.
