B.H. Inc. is looking to hire a full-time Survey Crew Chief to survey for construction projects located in the rocky mountain region. As a Survey Crew Chief , you will be responsible for planning and designing moderately complex survey projects while working closely with Project Management and Engineering to facilitate the successful accomplishment of project goals and objectives. Our Survey Crew Chief earns a salary of $30.00 to $50.00 per hour (DOE), which is paid weekly. QUALIFICATIONS
4-10 Years of Experience as a Survey Crew Chief
Topcon/Trimble GPS Survey System equipment and software experience
Experience with creating and working with Machine Control GPS models
FAA Drone Pilot License is a plus.
Trimble Business Center Experience
CAD/Civil3D experience preferred
Good communication skills
In your role as a Survey Crew Chief, you will be part of our growing team by performing the functions and duties listed below:
Attend team and project coordination meetings.
Perform Setup of and Operate Trimble and Topcon GPS Base and Rover Systems and operate and collect survey data using data collector.
Perform Setup of and Operate additional survey equipment (i.e. Total Station, Level)
Utilize Trimble Business Center or Magnet Office Software to download survey data, draft survey linework, prepare exhibits, and prepare exports or conversions.
Utilize Trimble ManageWorks to connect to field data collectors
Ability to travel to project sites for up to 2 weeks at a time to support construction staking, field QC/QA of construction progress, field personnel training, machine control setup, project survey control setup, and machine control troubleshooting.
Perform site calibration and perform quality assurance verification of field control and ensure project survey precision is maintained.
Generate contour maps and alignments.
Develop survey models of project design documentation and supply to field personnel and equipment.
Assist with and troubleshoot Survey Control project setup and Machine Control Model issues.
Prepare and QC aerial survey data.
Conduct research of previous survey evidence, maps, deeds, physical evidence, and other records to obtain data needed.
Solve various Survey related mathematical problems utilizing scientific calculators, survey software, and COGO routines.
Understand and prepare field notes, sketches, and project parameters.
