Your Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain strong customer relationships through regular contact to understand customer needs, establish trust, and serve as a primary escalation contact.

  • Clarify, negotiate if necessary, and formalize operational requirements with the customer to align on expectations.

  • Enhance customer satisfaction and loyalty by designing and implementing tailored solutions that meet specific needs.

  • Act as a subject matter expert on our services and capabilities to support new business opportunities and educate the customer.

  • Serve as the single point of contact for new business implementations, joint projects, or customer requests beyond routine operations.

  • Identify and communicate operational risks to all relevant stakeholders.

  • Advocate for the customer by conveying their needs and requirements across the broader Kuehne + Nagel operational network.

  • Develop and maintain the Master Operating Procedure (MOP) for global roles, and support local teams with Standard

  • Operating Procedure (SOP) definitions.

  • Assist with system setup and process automation within operational platforms.

  • Collaborate with Global Key Account Management (GKAM) and Operations Management to establish and formalize Key

  • Performance Indicators (KPIs).

  • Facilitate the development of reports for monitoring KPI measurements and operational performance.

  • Analyze root causes of non-performance and lead internal initiatives for operational improvements.

  • Prepare and present data on KPI performance, projects, and other key operational metrics during global Business

  • Reviews, and assist GKAM in creating Business Review presentations.

Your Skills and Experiences

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in freight forwarding or transportation, with in-depth knowledge of import/export operations, security protocols, and international trade regulations.

  • Proven ability to lead and manage internal resources through influence, leadership, and trust-building, while driving customer compliance and effective communication.

  • Strong analytical, ambitious, and confident approach to driving wide-ranging internal and external improvement initiatives across multi-national and multi-business unit organizations.

  • Expertise in customer relationship management, with experience in on-boarding new business and executing implementation best practices.
