Emerson Internship: Build and Test Tool Development for Next-Gen Radio Systems in DRESDEN, Germany
In today’s fast-paced tech world, software development extends beyond pure coding. Next-Gen radio systems are getting increasingly complex, which generates the need for fast but also reliable test execution. The test infrastructure has to address this and ensure quick turnaround times for developers.
Another aspect is providing customers with great user experience through intuitive and robust configuration tools.
In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:
Depending on your skills and interest, you have the opportunity to work on various tasks with focus on software development:
Analyze pioneering of our tooling, research for optimizations and new concepts, present your results to the team
Create new and improve existing software in collaboration with our developers
Optimize continuous integration (CI) execution time and reliability
Who You Are: You work effectively in a group environment. You are good at understanding technical details, diagnosing issues and proposing reasonable solutions. You can manage your time well and reach out to mentors with questions to help drive progress and completion of goals and tasks.
For this Role, You Will Need:
Academic studies in Information System Technology, Electrical Engineering, or comparable field of studies (from 4th semester)
Experience in developing tools in Python or other scripting languages
Experience in developing C/C++ applications
Basic understanding of the concept of continuous integration (CI)
Interest in clean code and good software quality
Good command of spoken and written English and/or German
Compulsory internship (internship duration: 4 - 6 months)
Preferred Qualifications that Set You Apart:
Experience in build and test infrastructures
Experience in Open Source projects
Experience in the creation of tools with graphical user interface
Basic understanding and interest in digital signal processing and wireless communications
