Emerson Internship: Hardware Design for RF Products in DRESDEN, Germany
Next generation mobile communications systems must meet challenging requirements in terms of signal quality, sensitivity, and dynamic switching performance. Today’s RF test systems are not adequate to determine these key parameters with sufficient accuracy at reasonable cost. To address this challenge, NI develops sophisticated hard- and software for testing and measurement of future 5G and 6G communication systems.
In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:
Board-level hardware design support for RF products within the USRP product line, including:
Circuit and system simulation,
Schematic design,
Validation and verification.
Who You Are: You are passionate about wireless technology and like to learn and work with the latest test and measurement techniques and equipment. You can manage your time well and reach out to mentors with questions to help drive progress and completion of goals and tasks. You work effectively in a group environment, problem-solve, and diagnose technical issues and propose reasonable solutions.
For this Role, You Will Need:
Academic studies in Computer Science, Information System Technology, Electrical Engineering or comparable fields of studies (from 4th semester)
Basic understanding of radio frequency (RF) electronics and circuits
Basic experience with RF measurements and RF instruments (spectrum analyzer, signal generator)
Good command of spoken and written English and/or German
Compulsory internship (duration: 5-6 months)
Preferred Qualifications that Set You Apart:
Experience with RF circuit and system simulation
Understanding of radio frequency system architectures
