The Hertz Corporation Site Reliability Engineer - Telematics in Dublin, Ireland
At Hertz, customer experience is at the forefront of everything we do. To help us build functional systems that improve customer experience we are now looking for an experienced Site Reliability Engineer to specifically assist in our latest digitalization initiatives using latest technologies & best practices.
They will be responsible for further automating & improving the testing, release, deployment, monitoring & alerting of our cloud native applications to AWS CloudFormation and to AWS EKS, using existing solutions and additional tools they deem most suitable.
This role has elements of Site Reliability Engineering, QA, and Dev Ops. You will work closely with the QA & Engineering teams under Hertz Telematics & Fleet Operations. They will also collaborate with the dedicated DevSecOPs teams to meet the expectations & standards set for the wider organization.
What You’ll Do:
DAY-TO-DAY
Work with the Telematics & Fleet management teams to solve their CI/CD needs.
Develop, improve & standardize Jenkins & CloudBees pipelines for development & compliance.
Automate manual tasks in the CI/CD pipeline.
Integrate Jira, Confluence, Zephyr, Github Enterprise & Cloudbees to report on testing & deployments.
Evaluate, advise, build and deploy AWS Services via automation.
With the QA team, own deployments & rollbacks.
Further develop our Production monitoring & alerting for uptime, rightsizing and SLAs.

What We’re Looking For:
6+ years in software engineering; Bachelors in Computer Science or other related field.
Experience as a DevOps, SRE, QA or similar software engineering role.
DevOPs/SRE experience transforming culture from legacy practices.
Significant container production experience with Kubernetes (EKS, GKE, or similar) and Docker.
IAC experience (terraform, cloudformation, helm charts, etc.)
Experience in systems operations management maintaining operating environments for enterprise applications.
Experience architecting and building scalable cloud infrastructure and processes.
Experience working with large, complex information systems and managing at scale.
Extensive experience with Cloud infrastructure design and operation, especially AWS.
Strong communication skills.
Working knowledge of Lean and Agile methodologies.
